I havn't really been doing anything for the past week other than working on this thing. Small things are small.. and agrivating. But I got alot of satisfaction out of making her.
Here is Priscilla the ballerina.

Post Mothers day

Well I have to say out of the 3 mothers days that I have been eligable for, this was the least horrible, but still crappy.. But I will spare the sob story.
It was spent with my adorable daughter and that is all that matters.
While my boyfriend is all the way in San Diego, I did get an awesomly rad pink mini ipod!

Awwwwwww, hes so good to me, even far far away.

Aubree has been quite the crafty one lately.
She made(er helped mess me up) this cake for her great gramma for mothers day. She picked the colors not me!

Yesterday I broke out the polymer clay to make a doll. So of course Aubree had to play with some. To keep her busy I gave her a small piece and asked her to make a duckie. I didn't really think she would.. but to my surprise, about 10 minutes later she showed me her duckie. She had smashed it out and picked away little pieces. Today I baked it and she painted it. Shes just 26months, everyday she does something else to amaze me.

Mint Jelly

I had my first adventures in Jelly making today! I discovered a ton of Peppermint that had made its way into the flower garden behind the house. I used the recipe that came with the liquid pectin, it seemed like an aweful lot of sugar (but what do I know), I hate things to be too sweet, so I subtracted a cup =\ I havn't tasted it yet, I hope its Ok.

Saturday I went house hunting with my dad. The town was about 3 hours away, near Kansas City. So many cheap houses in nice towns up there. I found this beautiful old house.

I want it, I want it! It need some work on the inside, but thats the part I like! I wouldn't want a new one, unless it was built for me I guess. Its a 2 bedroom, 1 bath.. with a claw foot tub! basement, 2 story garage, and a huuuuge attic with little midgy doors and rooms(3)! How cute! Iv'e never seen this before. I would love to have the attic as my work place and the little rooms holding herbs/flowers, they would get perfect sunlight. One of the rooms is almost big enough to stand in, it would be cute for Aubrees space. :)

One more thing..
We were driving by this old house and thought they had a fox statue. But it moved! Why is a fox in the middle of a city? It looked scared :( An old lady was walking by, she didn't know what to do, The fox didn't care about her though.

Recycled Monster

I started/finshed my submision for the Month of Softies.
I've been wanting to make a book clutch for a while.. so I did.

It is recycled, right? And there is a monster.. right?
Please don't hurt me for destroying a book =X

I've also been stripping the hell out of an old chair. I swear it has to be 100 years old with 100 layers of varnish on it.

But after 5 days, I finished.
It is going to be painted antique white with the Blue Willow birds painted on the top. Next is an antique twin bed frame and a dresser. All for Aubrees room of course.

Its raining today, I had planned on planting some spinach. Instead I started an indoor herb garden. Well there are only 2 herbs right now, Chamomile and Lavender. The store had Anise, I should have gotten it. Next time..

erm..
It feels later than 9pm.
I hand sanded an old garage sale chair today. I plan to paint it (along with a twin size bed and dresser) for Aubrees room. I'm thinking about doing a blue willow theme. Probably just white with blue love birds here and there.

I agreed to get on my hands and knees and scrub my neighbors giant kitchen floor for $50. Well she doesn't have to pay me.. shes old. But Im not going to turn down $50 =D
I will also, probably.. hopefully.. finish my postcard.

I'm insanely bored and tired but for some reason I cannot allow myself to go to sleep at 9pm.

Today is the yard sale, finally. I've been out there since 6am so I am sneaking in here to eat breakfast and do my daily computer things.

I helpped my grandmother clean out her garage a little today. She is getting ready for a yard sale.There were a few things that I could not allow to be sold.
Could these paining be any hotter?? God I love them, I love them! I want to live in the 60s please. They are signed F. Lolylle. I can't find anything about him :(
Again.. 60s please! This is a little cake plate and tea cup set. Supposedly they were the cool thing to have back then.
This bunny was my dads, its about 60 years old, made of real leather and probably stuffed with horse hair.. He is crying over it right now.. like he doesnt want me to have it, Im giving it a better home by displaying it. Not hiding it in a box.
Two vases I thing are pretty cool/cute. The big one has some asian writing on the back, there is no signature but it looks like it is probably hand made.
I can't wait to see what the next few days will bring :)

I bought a new pack of sewing needles today. I've got quite a lot now.. and I'm not a huge fan of putting them in pin cushions(but maybe I should make a matching one?)Anyhow.. I made a little sunshine needle wallet =D
To do now..Finish top secret lumber jack.Finish vintage scarf pillows.Make cards for mom and sister.Write in cards to mom and sister =Everyone should listen to M.I.A's" song Galang. It will make you shake yo booty. I wish I could find the whole album.
I love talking to myself. =D It makes me feel important.

Tacky Button Love

I got something crazy in my pants and just had to do something with my tacky buttons.I don't care how ugly it is.. I love it.

Its made out of a bunch of empty Cd cases, colored card stock, buttons, and black wire curlies on the side.YAY!!Right now it is holding some mail and some other keeper papers.I'll probably put some framed pictures on the top and some other crapo on the other shelf. It is magical.

Portrait of the Artist -

Here is my veryfirst finished "softie" Im very happy with it, though I think it looks 10x better in person :( I think I am addicted now, I cant wait to see what next months theme is!

I made this out of felt, kind of the way you would a multi layered stencil , stuffed it, framed it, and hand stitched all the edges down.

I call it Newspaper.. you know.. whats black, white, and red all over? I just feel like my life is very full of drama right now, much like a newspaper.

I made this doll (I call her Gayle) 2 nights ago as an attempt to occupy my daughter. She picked out the colors and the buttons. I like her alot, only her head is stuffed which makes her nice and floppy. Shes a little strange looking but Aubree isnt afraid of her, she eats her yarn hair :(

So I havnt blogged here in a million years.. I want to start again, I really do. I havnt done much, and Im not going to go over all the things I missed posting about.

Ive never made a book before but I have been dieing to.

EeeP Im a book maker!!

Yesterday was a down day so I spent most of the day browsing Craftster.org I was inspired to make a book after I found this tutorial. I didnt really have all of the materials so I used a post office box and a grocery bagfor the covers, added a few old buttons to embalish and VIOLA! a nice simple journal. I quite like it and it turned out much better than I had hoped for my very first book. :)

Im working on my month of softies project now. Im a virgin *blush* and Im running late, I just started yesterday but I have meaning to do it for months. I WILL make the dead line!!

Ive pretty much been too druged up to do anything other than knit lately. I finally finished that damn Irish hiking scarf last week, I still need to take a picture before I send it to my mom.
I also knit my boyfriend a really cute (if I do say so myslef) Ipod coozie!
I knit it with 5 - us 7 dpns.. first DPN project AND first patternless project ever. GO ME! hehe
The little red spot is supposed to be a heart.. uh I think I will take that off ;)

Well I havnt done crap since about Thanksgiving. Ive been having really bad migrains everyday and knitting only makes it worse. So I discovered that the headaches are probably caused by my wisdom teeth, I went to the dentist, he told me that they are impacted. Horray! :( I go tomorrow to get them cut out. Its a 2 hour drive, my dad is taking me.. maybe i can finish my irish hiking scarf? I'll try.

I love the knew Knitty! There are several things that I must knit after the few christmas gifts are done. I especially cant wait to make my very first socks - Very tall socks god.. so hott!

Ive just been working on it here and there, today is day 4. I hope to get quite a bit done today.
